“Grace” by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

Grace “Grace” by Donna L. Martin  18” X 18” X 1.5” Original Art Mixed Media on deep, gallery wrapped canvas, ready to hang. Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude. ~ Denis Waitley This painting was created with many, many layers of papers, inks, and acrylic ink.   I created this during the time my dad was dealing with terminal cancer.   I felt the true healing powers of this painting for the grief I was experiencing.   I felt and experienced grace. This painting is sold, but commissions are welcome.  Contact me via email or follow me on Social Media.  You can also check out my website,  https://dmartinfineart.com/ . https://www.facebook.com/donnamartinfineart https://www.instagram.com/donnamartinfineart/

"Wild Heart", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

Wild Heart This was a painting that I thought I had finished. It had been sitting up against the wall for months. When I walked past it not too long ago, I realized it was nowhere near finished. It lacked light and life. I picked it up and began to add to it. I added colors and shapes and tiny details. It came to life in full bloom. Created with abandon and a wild heart! 12 X 12 Mixed Media This painting is sold, but commissions are welcome.  Please feel free to contact me...I would love to hear from you! https://www.facebook.com/donnamartinfineart https://www.saltlightwatercolors@yahoo.com https://www.instagram.com/donnamartinfineart https://dmartinfineart.com/

"Peace Be Still", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

Peace Be Still 10 X 10 Original Art Mixed Media on Canvas This was one of those “intuitive” paintings.   I didn’t have a beginning, middle, or end in mind.   I just started painting.   Then, I began to have a vision of this little sheep.   The painting took on a life of its own.   The more I painted, I realized I was effortlessly leaning into my faith and I felt so peaceful.   I decided to title this one “Peace be Still”. This painting is sold, but feel free to contact me if you are interested in a professionally printed reproduction of the painting.   Also, I am going to be an instructor next year in an online class, Paint Your Heart and Soul .  I will be teaching students how to create an animal similar to this one.  You might have already heard about this amazing course as it is one of the most popular art classes in our online art community. However, if you’ve never heard about it before – it is not just another online class! I...

"Happy in Bloom", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

Happy in Bloom This is one of my latest pieces.  It was done on a recycled wood pallet with inks, acrylics, and painted papers.  This was so much fun to do!  It was all about letting go and letting in the "happy".  I love the way the wood grain shows through portions of the paint and ink. This one is sold, but commissions are welcome.  Feel free to email me with questions or comments! saltlightwatercolors@yahoo.com donnamartinfineart.com

"Transformation", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

"Transformation" Lately, there have been alot of changes and "transformations" in my life.  This latest painting symbolizes the changes and the beauty that can eventually come from the "mess" of life. I started this painting, probably a good 3 years ago.  I threw paint on the canvas very randomly and then got "stuck".  I didn't know where to go with the brush strokes or what to do next.  This is how I felt also in my life.  I had a "day job" that I absolutely hated, but I felt so stuck.  The money was wonderful, but the trade off was that I felt like I was losing my soul.  The job dealt with negative, angry people and terrible situations every minute of every day.  It took a toll and I did not feel like myself anymore.  I became very dark, cynical, and did not trust anything anyone would tell me.  I think this carried over into some of my artwork life as well.  When someone would give me a compliment on a paint...
