Moonlight Trees

So many exciting things happened this month! I was honored to have been interviewed by Voyage Denver. The article told a little about my background and life as an artist.

I've also been painting like crazy, trying to get ready for the summer art show season. I will be at Art in the Park in Parker, CO in August. This painting is fresh off the easel and ready to go!

I'll be teaching my first full-day, in-person workshop on May 5th...of course, all about trees! There are still some spots available and I would love to have you join us! Flying Free and Finding My Voice

Fly Free I have always been one of those people who is naturally shy. It may have a little to do with the way we were raised, we were always told that children "are to be seen and not heard". Growing up in that culture, I've always had trouble expressing what I'm feeling or saying what I wanted to say. Why would I have anything worth saying? I always felt that when I finally was able to say something, was anyone really listening? To add to this, I grew up feeling like I really didn't fit in anywhere, that I was usually the odd one out. I was the one who got picked last for the team, didn't stand up for myself...I didn't know how, didn't have " permission ". I couldn't really find my place, or my voice. This was a really fun painting to do and has been one of my most popular to date! Mama and baby taking a stroll together on a sunny morning.
